Pick & Choose quilt top finished

OK, here it is.

Tomorrow I need to go to Joann's to get the backing fabric and batting so I can get it basted and start quilting.  I have some 50% off coupons for Joanns and I hope I can use them.  Usually when they have the really good coupons, everything I want is already on sale and the coupons won't work.  We will see tomorrow.  I will hand quilt this one, too.  I like how it has turned out so far.  The scrappy binding will add another layer of scrappy! ! !  Some of the lighter fabrics fade out in the picture, but in person, they are better.

Well, what do you think, does it compare to the picture in the magazine?

Off to watch some football with my husband and relax!

  7. I like yours better! The colors are so beautiful. I know what you mean about Joann's, great coupons, but it seems like what I pick is always on sale already. Can't wait to see the quilt as you get it quilted.

  8. How cool is that! Yes, Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom was one of my favorites too! I am definitely a Discovery Channel kind of girl. After the raptor center gets going they will take in injured and orphaned birds. I told them that I might be interested in making them some puppets so that the birds don't get "impressed" on humans. Hope they take me up on that!
I love that quilt top you've got going- I may have to stick that pattern up on my "things to eventually do" list! :) Theri
