Making progress

I have made progress on several things.  The baby quilt has a label, so I can say it is all done.

Here is the medallion quilt, the little part in the hoop is all that was left, I finished it on Saturday night.  It is waiting for the hanging sleeve to be stitched down, the label filled in with info and the binding to be stitched down.  I am so close to saying it is done, too.  Just a few more details to finish.

I have made progress on the churn dash wedding quilt, too.

The stack of 5 1/2 inch churn dash blocks is growing and the basket full of parts is going down.  Once all 120 plus blocks are finished, I have to cut the alternate blocks and triangles.  I still have a long ways to go, but I don't need this finished until June.  I think I will make it!

We are waiting for the next round of weather to arrive.  The higher elevations are getting snow, I am so hoping maybe we will get a little rain or snow, but so far not.

Hope everyone is staying warm if the cold weather is in your area.  Since the groundhog says six more weeks of winter, that leaves us lots of quilting time! Enjoy!

  1. I can't wait to see the medallion quilt finished! It looks wonderful! And the churn dash looks great too. Churn Dash is one of my favorite blocks. We might possibly get a little snow or ice here this week. I have worn my heavy coat a lot this year. Some years I hardly even need it! Next week I'm going to Chicago, where I will really need it.

  3. Putting the year date on the medallion quilt is a great idea! What a treasure that quilt is going to be! I look forward to the churn dash quilt too. I'm ready for Spring to get here. I've not made much progress lately on anything; my home has been a temporary "bed and breakfast" for a friend who's husband had brain surgery last week, but things are looking up today. ---"Love"
