February Accomplishments

February is almost gone!  Time flies so quickly.  Lots of stuff going on, DH is healing well after getting the new hip.  He is walking well and driving again.  There are a few precautions he has to follow until June, but he is almost back to normal.

I've been sewing up a storm.  I have two of the Tabletop Turnabout quilts done.  I started with Moonlight Serenade:

Side 1
I added "WELCOME" to the banner on the birdhouse.

Side 2

and Garden House:

These were so much to make.  Each panel is 12 1/2 X 12 1/2 inches.  Since they are small projects they are pretty quick to make.  I have two more prepped and ready to blanket stitch around the applique pieces.  I'm doing fusible applique, my favorite way to applique.

Next up,  Santa's Christmas Card:

I still haven't gotten up the courage to glue the eyes on.  I'm getting closer, I just don't want to make a mess on the quilt with the glue but it needs to be finished.  I love Santa and his reindeer.

Here is Christmas Is Coming designed by Carol Swift of Just Let Me Quilt.

The pattern is for sale at https://www.etsy.com/listing/655165926/christmas-is-coming-table-runner-pattern?ref=ap-listing.   It is a quick and easy table runner to make and lots of fun.  I plan to give it away at our Christmas Bunco party in December.  It feels good to have it finished so early!  I also want to make mug rugs for all my Bunco Buddies, so gotta get busy on those, too.  I like this table runner so much I may have to make one for myself.

The last finish is the baby quilt for my new GD due in May.  Little girls need a Sunbonnet Sue quilt from Grandma.

This turned out so soft and snuggly.  This is the third one I have made and still need to make one more.  The next one will have a lavender/purple border.  I enjoy making the little Sunbonnet babies.

Here are close ups of each block:

So, that's what has been keeping me busy.  I have enjoyed watching what everyone is creating, have fun and keep stitching!
