This year has gone by so quickly, I'm thinking all the doctor visits and treatments have made time fly by. I am almost finished, three radiation sessions and two infusions are all that is left. I made it through with just a few issues from side effects with the medications and they are starting to clear up. My hair is growing back, eyebrows and eyelashes are returning, the neuropathy in my hands and feet is getting better and I am feeling pretty good! The oral meds I have to take for at least five years has made my distance vision blurry, so have to talk to the doctor about that. I'm thinking the fix will be changing meds or just getting my eyeglass Rx adjusted to clear things up.
I have been keeping up with the two BOM's this year. The one from Fat Cat patterns is very cute and so fun to work on.
Here are the most recent finishes. I am still working on the final block, then I can start putting this quilt top together.
The Buttermilk Basin BOM is moving along, too.
These are the two final blocks and I have three of the borders stitched. One border to go and a bit of embroidery and embellishment for all the borders is left. This one will be ready to make into a top soon, too. The problem it gives me now is I will have two tops to quilt and that will take me a while. Not a bad problem to have, I just want to move on to the next project!
My DGD had asked for some more doll quilts, she has more dollies than quilts to tuck them in at night!
I made her these two. The first one was the bottom photo, it was a panel I'd had for years and decided it would be cute to make for her. The hearts was another fun one. I used left over fabrics from my new GD's quilt to make it. I am still working on a quilt for my new GD but they will be surprised when I give it to my DS & DDIL to see the two quilts are connected. The new baby quilt is almost finished. I still have the last border to quilt and then binding.
Here is a sneak peak at the baby's quilt. You can click on any of the photos for a better look.
Here is DGD holding new DGD. Since the older one found out the baby was coming she has referred to her as "MY baby". She is a great big sister and so helpful!
I haven't had a chance to travel to meet my newest GD yet, but soon. I can't wait to cuddle both of them!
This summer has flown by but I have been able to do lots of stitching!
Again, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with family and friends!
