It is "A Tisket A Tasket" by Ann Sutton of Bunny Hill. This was a BOM from 2009 I think. I saved the block patterns for so long and finally made the quilt. I need to fix the wonky border along the bottom but for now, it is good enough. I really had fun working on this one. I enjoy doing fusible applique and Ann's patterns are so cute.
I have two borders to finish quilting on the second Cowgirl Boot quilt for my GD. I've been working on it for so long, I am anxious to finish it and I have ideas for a couple new quilts I want to start! ! !
Here are blocks for the "Let It Snow" BOM from Buttermilk Basin.
The L block is all finished, E only needs a little embroidery of arms and eyes and the T is ready to start stitching to the fabric. Two more blocks have been posted but I haven't prepped them yet. I really like this BOM, too. It will be another great Christmas quilt.
Another BOM I have started is the Snuggles Quilts Stitchery of the Month. This one is designed to use wool on cotton but since I don't have wool to work with yet, I am just doing it in cotton. These are really cute blocks, too.
January
Febuary
March
The January Sheep block is all done, February and March are fused but I need to start stitching them.
The April block is very cute, too, but I have to prep it first. DH had to have a couple of minor day surgeries so these are blocks I worked on while I was in the waiting room. He did well with the recovery, has healed and is back to normal. I am saving the stitching for the ones that are prepped to work on during a trip in the next few months.
I have decided which quilt I will make for my oldest daughter, too. Now to get started with the blocks for it. It will also have fusible applique on it. It will be a priority once I finish the boot quilt, the BOM blocks will be worked on as I have time and I am starting to get another quilt ready for myself. I want to make a new quilt for our bedroom. I think I will have lots to work on for quite a while.
I have been the lucky winner a couple of giveaways. I won this layer cake for answering a survey on one of the quilting sites I get emails from. The fabrics included in here are all very pretty but not the type of fabric I usually purchase. It will be fun making something that is out of my usual style.
I also won this from Lori of Humble Quilts during a blog hop to promote the new book by Diane D. Knott.
I love scraps and have found several of the patterns in the book to put on my "someday" quilt list. I am happy with both of these wins.
Speaking of wins, I finally finished the pillowcases I won in a giveaway several years ago.
I have been doing some heavy house cleaning, going through everything and organizing. I finally got to the sewing room and decided I would get these made instead of letting them sit in my project pile. They turned out really cute and will be wonderful to use. With my cleaning project, I have most of the main living areas done. I still have more to do in the sewing room, a bathroom and the guest room to work on. I have gone through and cleaned inside cabinets and drawers, sent some stuff to donate and sorted out stuff to give to the kids. It feels really good. Out in the yard, we even tore down a tiny metal garden shed, took it to recycle and had a little bit bigger shed built. It will be nice to be able to stand straight up in the new shed when working in the yard. Before, I had to duck and could only stand up in the very center of the old one, DH had to bend over to just be inside of it and we had to pay attention to the holes that were in the floor. We still have to build some shelves in the new shed and paint the floor. Outside yard work has not even started yet this year. We have lots of projects to keep us busy all summer!
That should catch up on all the quilting stuff going on. I'm back to playing with fabric! ! !
